IIOM UK Member Meeting, Leicester, UK

The summer 2024 IIOM UK Members meeting is on Tuesday 18^th June, at the Leicester Marriott Hotel, Smith Way, Grove Park, Enderby, Leicester LE19 1SW.  The meeting is kindly sponsored by Force Technologies Ltd.

The networking dinner will take place on Monday 17^th June at the hotel.

Force Technologies have kindly organised a tour at the National Space Centre on Monday 17^th June from 13.00 – 16.00 hrs for 30 people. 

IIOM Member Meeting
The IIOM UK Member meeting on 18^th June, will begin at 9.30 am and finish at around 3.30 pm.  Guest and New Attendees will be invited to join a short introduction to IIOM at 8.50 am, prior to the Member Meeting.

Meeting Registration – Advance registration is required

Registration terms - Corporate membership includes attendance of 2 people to a member meeting.  Individual members who have also paid for the meetings package are able to attend.  Individual members who have not purchased the meetings package can pay £50 to attend a meeting.  Please email [email protected] if you wish to pay for this meeting attendance.

Accommodation – book by 19^th May at the latest

We have organised an allocation of bedrooms at the Leicester Marriott Hotel on Monday 17^th June. The cost of accommodation is £160 on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis based on single occupancy. Please note that the hotel will release half of our bedrooms on 5^th May if not booked, and the remainder on 19^th May. We cannot guarantee the rate or availability after 19^th May. Bedrooms cancelled after 13^th June will be charged in full.

Details will follow on how to book your accommodation on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rate at the Leicester Marriott Hotel at the IIOM rate.

Networking Dinner – book by 19^th May
The cost of the networking dinner is included in the Dinner, Bed & Breakfast rate.

You will need to indicate your attendance to dinner when registering for the meeting and select your menu choice.  Dinner bookings should be made by 19^th May, late bookings may be possible.

 The cost of dinner to non-residents is £35.  Please indicate you are a non-resident during the registration process and we will raise an invoice for dinner, this must be paid in fully by 18th May.

There is a no cancellation policy for dinner.

National Space Centre Tour

Force Technologies have kindly arranged a tour for 30 people at the National Space Centre.  The tour will begin at 13.00 and end at 16.00 hrs.  The tour will include:

• Force short welcome
• 30 minute guided tour
• Time to spend amongst the exhibits
• Planetarium show

This will be allocated on a first come first served basis, however there may be a requirement to restrict numbers attending from each company if demand is high.  Places can be booked during the meeting registration process.

The space centre is located 6 miles north of the hotel, expected journey time 20 minutes.

Car Parking
Parking is available at the hotel and is free to delegates. Details on how to register your car will follow.

Travel
The nearest airport is Nottingham East Midlands (20 miles) or Birmingham (35 miles). The nearest railway station is Leicester (5 miles).
