An Individual Membership is designed for those who wish to participate in the IIOM Continual Professional Development (CPD) scheme.
There are various type of Individual Membership:
A Student Member of the IIOM must currently be in recognised full or part time education (or have recently completed such education and not yet employed).
For those who want to build obsolescence management knowledge, network with obsolescence management professionals and keep up to date with obsolescence management issues. They do not necessarily hold any particular qualifications or experience.
For those who have been awarded the Institute’s Certificate.
An IIOM member must already be an Affiliate Member of the Institute, have a relevant degree/higher qualification and/or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge. For those who do not have a relevant degree, guidance from the Institute will be provided on how to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and achieve the Institute’s Diploma.
A Full Member who has either led the development of thinking and/or practice in the field of Obsolescence Management or made a significant contribution to the development and reputation of the Institute.
A person who has retired from active professional life and, in the opinion of the Board has given long and valuable service in the interests of the Institute and/or the advancement of the Obsolescence Management discipline.
We will introduce an Individual Membership in two phases:
- *Phase 1 – August 16 to April 17
- *Phase 2 – April 17 onwards
- *Those who wish to start utilising the CPD scheme and progress up the IIOM member ladder
