The Strategic Side of Obsolescence Management
 24 - 26 October 2023

IEC 62402:2019 introduces the concept of strategic obsolescence management in the introduction section of the standard. It specifically mentions that when planning and implementing obsolescence management, approaches early in the life cycle could be characterized as strategic.

IIOM’s 2023 Conference looks to explore the strategic side of obsolescence management. We want to explore how to consider life cycle impacts and building justifications for technology refresh. We want success stories in performing and planning obsolescence management activities earlier in the life cycle and designing systems for successful obsolescence management.

This conference will bring together obsolescence management professionals, solution providers, academia, and those who want to learn how to understand and reduce their exposure to obsolescencerisk.
