IIOM Member Meeting

The next IIOM Members meeting is kindly sponsored by Force Technologies Ltd.  The meeting will take place on Tuesday 15^th October at Double Tree by Hilton Swindon, Lydiard Fields, Great Western Way, Swindon, SN5 8UZ.  The meeting will begin at 9.30 am and finish at around 3.45pm.  Force Technologies have kindly organised a tour at STEAM museum on Monday 14th October during the afternoon for a limited number of people, please see details below.  The evening networking event will take place at the hotel on Monday 14^th October at 19.30 hrs.  This event will be a buffet meal.

The IIOM UK AGM will take place at 09.00 am on 15th October  just before the IIOM UK Member Meeting.

Accommodation - please call the hotel to check availability and rates

We have organised an allocation of bedrooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon.  The cost of accommodation is £125 on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. We have a few rooms left on our allocation, once these rooms are sold there may be rooms available but these will be sold at the going rack rate which is generally high.  We recommend booking now.

Networking Dinner - please call the hotel to see if it is possible to attend
The cost of attending the networking buffet dinner is included in the accommodation rate, by booking your accommodation you will automatically be registered for dinner.

Non-residents can book and pay to attend the dinner at a cost of £23.90.  To book with the hotel on a dinner only basis please call Shannen Downey on 01793 410928 making it clear that you would like to book for DINNER ONLY with the IIOM group on 14th October.

STEAM Museum Tour
Force Technologies have kindly organised a tour at the STEAM museum on Monday 14^th October in the afternoon. Places for this event are limited, so early booking is required. Delegates booking for the tour will need to arrive at the museum by 1.45 pm.   The tour will begin at 2 pm prompt and will last an hour.  There will be light refreshments served after the tour.  Please click here to find out more about the museum.  The museum is approximately a 10 – 15 minute drive from the hotel.  Places are limited so early booking is recommended.  

Tour Registration - limited numbers
Registration for the tour is essential – please select the STEAM Museum tour programme item when registering on the IIOM website. There are a limited number of places available on the tour and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If  after registering your plans change and you cannot attend please let us know so that your place can be offered to those on the waiting list.

Car Parking for the Steam Museum
The main and closest car parking for STEAM is located at the Swindon Designer Outlet North and West Car Parks which are just five minutes' walk from the Museum.  If you are using a Sat Nav, please enter the post code SN2 2NA as the museum post code is not recognised.  Please note the bus lane next to the West car park should NOT be used. Cameras are in use and fines will be issued by Swindon Borough Council.

You will be entitled to FREE PARKING with STEAM admission.  You need to get a ticket from the Swindon Designer Outlet North or West Car Park and you can then later exchange it at the Designer Outlet Information Desk for a free parking pass after visiting STEAM. You will need to show your valid STEAM ticket for that day.  Details will be provided when you arrive for the tour.

7. Scroll down to the programme and select the programme items you will be attending
8. Please answer any questions and save

 *   If you have not already signed into the new IIOM website please enter your email address then click on forgotten my password, this will send you an email and give you the opportunity to create your own password or call the IIOM Office on 01727 876029 and they will reset your password for you.

You will not receive a confirmation email; you can view your registration at any time by signing into the site and viewing the event page.
